Watching movies is my past time hobby. I've been watching movies since I was a kid. I mean, aren't we all? Here's my top 5 favorite movies that you should watch.

The Fault in Our Stars

I watched this movie about 10 times? And still amazes me. It's about two cancer-afflicted teenagers Hazel and Augustus meet at a cancer support group. The two of them embark on a journey to visit a reclusive author in Amsterdam. This book reminds me of myself, not about having cancer but being able to enjoy life. Life isn't fair, and you have to take risks in order for you to be happy. Like Hazel, she took the risk in loving Augustus knowing he might die. Hazel and Augustus's love was true love, because until their last breath they loved each other; I wish I had someone who I can share my life with. We're still kids, I'm still a kid. Anyways, I recommend this to you. Read this and it will change your perspective in life.

Call Me by Your Name

It's the summer of 1983, and precocious 17-year-old Elio Perlman is spending the days with his family at their 17th-century villa in Lombardy, Italy. He soon meets Oliver, a handsome doctoral student who's working as an intern for Elio's father. Amid the sun-drenched splendor of their surroundings, Elio and Oliver discover the heady beauty of awakening desire over the course of a summer that will alter their lives forever. I think I watched this movie a hundred times already. It would always make me cry. Oliver leaving Elio really broke my heart, but hearing Oliver getting married makes my heart broke more. I mean, what they had was special. It's special that it came to the point were they broke each other. I somehow can relate to their story because I once had my lover who left me for herself, not for someone else. I understood it because I was also fixing myself for I was a messy person. Now, she have someone who really stood by her and helped her fix herself. I am happy for her.

Love, Simon

Simon Spier keeps his sexual orientation a secret from his family. However, when a blackmailer threatens to reveal it, he goes on a roller-coaster journey to come to terms with his identity. This movie is about a guy who was having a hard time coming out to his family. He posted something and someone anonymously messaged him. It was a guy named Blue, but he didn't know who it was so he kept finding him around their school. And when there was a event in their school, he met him.

When he came out as gay to his family, it hit close to me. Though, I didn't really come out. It's just amazing how his family accepted him. Homophobics are everywhere. And I'm glad my family isn't. I was openly accepted by my family. And I won't let any people judge me.

Love, Rosie

Rosie and Alex have been friends since childhood and cannot imagine themselves as a couple. However, when they head in different directions, they realized that they are made for each other. This movie would always make me cry for hours. Rosie was in love with Alex, and when she got pregnant she still loves him. And when his baby daddy became his husband, she still loves him. That's what true love can do to you. And Alex on the other hand, he was in love too, with Rosie. Even though Alex got married, he was still in love with Rosie. Alex failed to confess everything to Rosie because before going to college, Rosie got pregnant. So, he think that he didn't had the chance. So he left, without telling Rosie the truth.

I will always say that true love doesn't exist, I mean, some of my friends or my relatives had been hurt because they once believed that true love exists. I saw how they struggled in moving on. It's enough for me to believe that it doesn't exist. However, after watching this movie, it changed my perspective in love. Because at the end of the movie, they met. And they fell in love with each other. Some part of me believes, but the other part of me does not.

The Notebook

Duke reads the story of Allie and Noah, two lovers who were separated by fate, to Ms. Hamilton, an old woman who suffers from dementia, on a daily basis out of his notebook. This movie took 2 hours and I will always watch it even though it's 2 hours. Believing in love does things to you. It will make you do crazy things, sacrificing yourself, giving all of you. Love is all about trust, communication, and waiting.

Duke waited for Allie even though he knows that Allie will never go back to him. Allie got married. They got separated and lost each other. However at the end of the movie, they saw each other again but Allie has dementia so she can't remember Noah. But, they died together.

This story has really a great message about those couples who got separated. I believe that if you wait, it will come.
